The pressure in Lacey’s chest tightened as she waited for his answer. The truth was, if she let him kiss her at the door, that’d be it. He’d leave, she was sure of it. She didn’t want him to leave. She didn’t want their night to end at a kiss. She wanted much, much more.

“Yeah, okay. I can come in for a few minutes.”

Lacey smiled and pushed open the door.

Cameron crept in, almost timidly, and laid his keys on the little entrance table. He put his hands in his pockets and walked into the room, his head swept back and forth as he took in the room. “It’s nice. On the smaller side, though. I’m shocked you haven’t gone crazy in here.”

Lacey shut the door and looked around her room. Yes, it was small. The one king-size bed took up a majority of the space, and most of her bags lay on the bathroom counter. “What can I say? It’s cheap enough to where I can afford it and also put money away for my own place, so it works. I’ll be happy when I can move out, though.”

Cameron nodded, but still wouldn’t look at her.

Is he nervous? Lacey leaned against the back wall and cleared her throat.

“Can I help you?”

She giggled and then gave him her best flirty pout. “I’m just waiting for my kiss, sir.” Chills ran up her spine when he finally turned toward her. With every step he took, her heart beat faster, her nipples hardened beneath her bra, and her sex tingled with anticipation. This is it. Your first kiss with Cameron.

He stopped directly in front of her, and she had to lean her head back to look up into his face.

It’s happening.

He skimmed his fingers along her cheek, the movement waking up every nerve in her body.

Mmm.

He ran his hands through her hair, and she moaned as his fingertips massaged her scalp.

Yessssssss…

He leaned down until his lips settled just a breath away. His eyes bored into hers, and his breaths came out in short, quick spurts.

Kiss me.

His lips were on hers a second later, warm and perfect, soft and oh so fucking sexy. Lacey glided her hands up his hard chest, and the tiniest moan escaped her lips when she felt his muscles quiver under her fingers.

Take me, Cameron.

Then he was gone. Lacey opened her eyes in surprise as he pulled away from her. “What…what’s wrong?”

“Nothing,” Cameron ran his fingers through his hair, his chest moving up and down with his breaths.

“It sure doesn’t look like nothing.” Lacey crossed her arms and tried to ignore the feeling of insecurity as it crept back into her mind. “Do you not like kissing me?”

Cameron looked at her with a mixture of surprise and disbelief. “Are you kidding me? Lacey, I could kiss you all day and night and never fucking stop. I could die kissing you and I’d be a happy man. It’d be worth every second.”

Lacey stood still, as did Cameron. The only sound in the room was their breathing, quick and labored.
